Position Summary: The Assistant Board Liaison serves as a key point of contact between the College's leadership and its Board of Trustees, facilitating effective communication, collaboration, and coordination. This position provides executive support for a wide variety of complex professional administrative duties and coordinates programs and projects as assigned by the Chancellor, Chief of Staff, & Board Liaison.
Job Functions:
1. As part of the Office of the Board Liaison, work with the Board Liaison to facilitate communication between the Board, colleges, system staff, and the community in concert with the Chancellor.
2. Acts as a primary point of contact for board members, addressing inquiries, and requests, and providing information
3. Prepares speeches and talking points for the Board Chair
4. Assists in the organization and coordination of board meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, and distribution of materials
5. Coordinates with departments to compile data and reports for presentations to the Board
6. Manages high-priority projects and programs to support the Chancellor's goals and initiatives
7. Manages high-priority projects and programs to support the requests of trustees.
8. Attends all Board meetings and ensures Board records are properly maintained to support the requests of trustees.
9. Coordinate, lead, and participate in travel with trustees to national conferences, training, and government relations events.
10. Maintains Board of Trustees Calendar
11. Coordinate, lead, and participate in local events involving trustees.
12. Transport of urgent materials and documents between trustees and LSCS administration.
13. Troubleshoots critical questions, inquiries, and complaints directing them to the appropriate person or office ensuring that all phone calls and visitors are dealt with in a courteous, timely, and appropriate manner
14. Ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to board of governance.
15. Manages approved expenditure and budget for the Board of Trustees.
16. Responsible for other reasonable related duties, as assigned
Salary
Hiring salary range is $67,746 to $77,908
Required:
· Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
