Community Event to Support Children Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
All Ears! Center invites the community to participate in the 2026 Sporting Clays Tournament on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Greater Houston Gun Club. The annual event brings together businesses, community leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, and supporters for a day of friendly competition, networking, and philanthropy benefiting children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Proceeds from the tournament directly benefit All Ears! Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children with hearing loss reach their full inclusion and school readiness through early intervention and family-centered services. Through the organization’s Zero Delay Program, infants and toddlers up to three years of age receive services and support at no cost to families. The Center also serves adults with hearing loss as a means to help fund the children’s programs.
"The Sporting Clays Tournament is more than a fundraiser—it is an opportunity for our community to come together and invest in the future of children with hearing loss," said Pam Bunn of All Ears! Center. "Every team, sponsor, volunteer, and donor plays a role in helping children gain the skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive."
The tournament has a special history rooted in one family's journey. The event was established in 2015 by Johnny Higdon, whose daughter Brooke was diagnosed with hearing loss as a child. Inspired by Brooke's success and the impact of early intervention services, the Higdon family created the tournament to help other families access the same opportunities and support.
Today, the tournament has grown into a beloved community tradition, raising critical funds and awareness for children and families served by All Ears! Center.
Tournament highlights include:
• Sporting Clays Competition
• Awards for Top Teams, Top Male Shooter, and Top Female Shooter
• Door Prizes
• Breakfast and Coffee
• Lunch Provided by Rexel Cooking Team
• Mulligans Available for Purchase
• Networking and Community Engagement Opportunities
Sponsorship opportunities and team registrations are now available. Businesses and individuals are encouraged to participate, sponsor, donate raffle items, or volunteer in support of the event.
