About Us
The Sam Houston Area Council serves approximately 46,000 youth in 16 counties in Southeast Texas through dedicated service and leadership of approximately 16,000 adult volunteers. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
