Legal Assistant Needed for Woodlands Law Firm

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of legal terminology and procedures, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, correspondence, and court filings
  • Manage case files, including organizing and maintaining physical and electronic records
  • Schedule appointments, hearings, depositions, and meetings
  • Conduct legal research and compile data as requested by attorneys
  • Draft basic legal documents such as subpoenas, motions, and contracts under attorney supervision
  • Handle client communication and follow-ups professionally and confidentially
  • File documents with courts and government agencies as needed
  • Ensure deadlines are met and manage case calendars
  • Perform general administrative duties, including answering phones, managing mail, and ordering supplies

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or certification in paralegal studies or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a legal or administrative support role
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, court procedures, and document formatting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Work Environment:

This is a full-time, on-site position in a professional office setting.
