The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. Presents: Energy Efficiency-For The Home and The Environment
Everyone knows that energy efficiency can save money and is good for the environment. But where do we start? In this presentation, Jennifer will discuss how and where to evaluate energy use in your own home; measures that are typically cost effective, which ones are best for you, and the programs that may be able to help you be more efficient. She will also discuss the relationship between water and energy production and distribution—the less energy we use, the more water we save. SPEAKER: Jennifer Ronk holds a Masters of Environmental Management from the Yale University of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She joined Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC) in the Woodlands in 2009, and is currently the Program Director for Energy Efficiency and Environmental Science. Prior to joining HARC, Jennifer held leadership roles in several entities specializing in clean energy and environmental issues such as soil and groundwater contamination. She is a Professional Geologist, licensed in the State of Texas, a Certified Environmental Manager, and a Certified Project Management Professional. During her tenure at HARC, Ms. Ronk has been engaged in a wide variety of projects and programs that are designated to facilitate the transition to a low carbon future, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, and transportation projects.
