Teddy Bear Tea

When constable deputies and firefighters in Harris County respond to emergencies, they oftentimes encounter children who were just involved in a car accident, fire or other devastating event. The children are sometimes confused, upset and traumatized by the situation around them. To help support these children, Avanti Senior Living at Augusta Pines is holding a teddy bear drive through the month of June with its first ever Teddy Bear Tea events at the community’s sales gallery. Avanti Senior Living at Augusta Pines (24520 Community Center Drive in Spring) encourages the public to drop off new teddy bears in June on Mondays – Fridays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. or Sunday from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. In addition, the public is invited to bring a bear to the Teddy Bear Tea events on Sunday, June 25 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. or Tuesday, June 27 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tea and light refreshments will be served during the events.
