Rethinking Alzheimer's - 2017 Conference for Professionals
The Alzheimer's Association-Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter is proud to announce the 2017 Conference for Professionals. This year's theme is "Rethinking Alzheimer's." A public health crisis, Alzheimer's disease affects more than 5 million Americans. Alzheimer's is devastating, but could rethinking Alzheimer's be a key to helping your clients and patients? Whether you are a professional new to caring for those with Alzheimer's or an experienced caregiver looking to refresh your knowledge, this conference will challenge you to think about Alzheimer's care in innovative ways. Sessions will address a variety of topics, from cutting edge drug discovery to unique dementia capable communities and inspiring support systems. Learn about community resources and novel ways to connect with families and clients. Meet and network with other health care professionals. We invite health care practitioners, direct care providers, activity directors, community leaders, and students to attend and contribute to this annual event. This conference is a forum for exchanging ideas from a variety of perspectives. CEUs, including ethics credits, are available for nurses and social workers. In addition, an optional take-home CEU will be available.
