Love Matters - Hug a Cop
Come join our family as a show of solidarity for our community’s law enforcement. In these trying times, we believe we need to rise above our differences and stand united. Be the change you want to see in this world. This event is not about political views, debates or biases. This is about love and healing and being one and standing in support of each other.
In this two-part event, you will have several opportunities and ways to participate.
- We are inviting our community members to join us for creating uplifting messages on posters and signs for our community’s police officers from 4-6 p.m. this Saturday. We will also be tying a blue ribbon to the trees in the vicinity, and we could use some helping hands.
- We will join the officers for a vigil organized by Mont. Co. Sheriff's Citizens Academy Alumni Association at the Criminal Justice Center in Conroe at 7 p.m., forming a Wall of Love around them while holding the signs we have created earlier, and offering them free hugs.
- We have been requested to bring our love to the precinct 3 offices on Tuesday, July 19th at 1:45 p.m. Our officers will appreciative our support and look forward to meeting with us.
You can join us for both parts, or you can attend one or the other. All posters and signs created will be delivered to the officers at the vigil on Saturday and at the precinct office on Tuesday, even if you cannot join us in person.
If you can join us only for giving out hugs and the Wall of Love, we are sure officers will still appreciate it.
We will supply posters and markers to make signs thanks to Costco Woodlands, however, more supplies are appreciated.
We would also like to thank South County Community Center for providing us the space for this event.
