Compassion United Annual Gala: Belong

Compassion United will host its eighth annual Gala on Friday, March 21st, 2025 which will fuel its continued efforts to transform the lives of the forgotten, marginalized, and hopeless of Montgomery County. The organization was founded by Luke and Karla Redus almost 20 years ago and offers multiple programs to the community, such as transitional housing, at-risk youth programs, grocery distribution, day client services, and more. 

Attendees of the Gala become part of a powerful story of transformation. Their support helps individuals overcome poverty and trauma, creating lasting change and brighter futures for those in need.

This year’s event will focus on Belonging as the organization's three transitional homes are under construction. These homes will provide people overcoming homelessness with a place to belong. Miracle City will be a first-of-its-kind, whole-person transformation community for Montgomery County, uniquely focused on serving the forgotten, marginalized, and hopeless. Once complete, the five-acre campus will allow people to live and work in a graced-based, inspiring environment where they’ll develop emotional and spiritual maturity, life skills, and work experience as they discover abundant life.
