30-Hour Advanced Family Mediation Training: Interactive & Online via Zoom
The following components will be covered in this 30-Hour Advanced Family Mediation Training Course: Family law, such as the division of resources, parenting plans, and an summary of the legal system and terminology related to family law; family dynamics, such as blended families and family structures; family violence, such as screening, statutory requirements, anger management, mediation safety plans, and reporting laws and processes; child development, such as the influence and response to divorce and phases of development; practice considerations, such as ethics, cultural consciousness, self-awareness, and styles of mediation; and conflict resolution skills, such as communication techniques, relationship-building, problem solving, the conflict resolution model, and referrals to specialized support services. Please note: Registrant must have access to a personal computer with a working camera and microphone and must be physically present for the entire duration of the training. This course meets the standards described for court-referred mediation under Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code Ann. §154.052 and meets and/or exceeds TMTR/TMCA 30 Hour Training Standards.
