DESCRIPTION:This summer\, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts has curated a one-of-a-kind exhibition that features toys as contemporary art. "The Toy Canvas: Artists at Play" features toys in photography\, sculpture\, mixed media and more. Opening Day festivities will offer tons of fun for all ages\, including:   10 a.m.  to 11 a.m. Special Preview for PFMFA Members (RSVP required) 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Meet the Artist\, Tim Howell\, contestant on 2023 Fox LEGO Masters 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. LEGO brick building with the Houston Brick Club\, art activities\, face painting\, and balloon animals 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Mr. Leo's Puppet Show 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Texas Bubblers\, Giant Bubble Show Opening Day festivities are free and open to the community starting at 11 a.m. Registration is requested at pearlmfa.org. "The Toy Canvas: Artists at Play" continues through August 31\, 2024. Regular museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday\, and admission is free.
