DESCRIPTION:Compassion United needs volunteers! We are seeing an increase in food insecurity here in Montgomery County. Last year we served 34\,000 individuals and are expecting to serve more in 2023. The food pantry is open on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month\, and the following Saturdays at our East County location. (18856 FM 1484\, Conroe 77303.) On the Wednesday before we are open\, we receive our truck load of groceries from the Montgomery County Food Bank. Typically we bring in anywhere from 25\,000-34\,000 pounds of food to hand out the next day. We are needing able-bodied individuals to help unload the truck and get set up for the next morning.
